Mastin Kipp of The Daily Love

This morning, I received my daily dose of amor in the form of Mastin Kipp’s “The Daily Love” newsletter. If you haven’t subscribed yet, you definitely should for uplifting quotes and messages each day. Today’s message touched my heart: “There is beauty and grace in every loss!”

Why? This week has been one of many losses: romantically, financially, and professionally. It’s been what I like to call a “shit week.” While these things have been unraveling itself, a specific lyrics from Bob Marley’s song “Coming in From the Cold” has been ringing in my head. It’s also one of my favorite mantras:

“Gi-irl, why do you look so – look so – look so sad – look so sad and forsaken? Don’t you know: When one door is closed – when one door is closed, many more is open?”

And this my friends is so true. What we lose is really an entry for new things to come. And with the right attitude, a positive and faithful one, what is to come may even be beyond your wildest dreams. This will happen with the right attitude of course, that’s very important. And a later topic.

Returning to Mastin’s message today, “There is beauty and grace in every loss,” please take a moment to read it, you can find it here.

I invite you to see how loss or  “a door that may be closing” can bring in something beautiful and new. How washing away what no longer serves you as they say in yoga is really a way of opening yourself up to what the universe has to offer. And the beauty of it is that it may be beyond your wildest dreams.

I’d like to hear about your own experience of loss and how it opened a door to something beautiful, whether internal or external.
